It was alaways going to be a gamble. The colour had to be added to the concrete in the very begining....I remember being worried when it was poured because it didnt look black.
The slab being poured September 2010
It took HOURS & HOURS of polishing...an it was only when we wet the concrete could you see the colour.
People didnt believe us when we told them that the floor would be black. It just looked like ordinary concrete.
Polishing finished. First coat of sealer on and only now can we see the true colour. A film of dust has settled on the floor from the plaster.... but it's exactly as I imagined. The drop sheets are in place ready for the painter to start.
Once the painting has been completed then we'll do the final coat of sealer.
Beyond happy!!
